Anyone starting a career as a Parking Attendant in Scotland, and current parking staff working within the Scottish parking sector.
What the course covers
Module 1: Conflict Management for Parking Attendants
Current Health & Safety legislation, dynamic risk assessment, communication and blocks to communication, levels and signs of aggression, the effects of workplace violence, and the law regarding self-defence.
Module 2: Roles & Responsibilities of a Parking Attendant
The key issues that influence Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE), background knowledge of parking enforcement, and a history of parking legislation and how it is enforced in Scotland.
How it is delivered
Online in a live, virtual setting, or in a classroom at a suitable venue provided by you, over four consecutive days.
Assessment and certification
On the final day, delegates sit two City & Guilds Assured multiple-choice examinations. Everyone who passes receives a City & Guilds Assured e-certificate plus a shareable digital credential. Paper certificates are available on request.
