Traffic Orders (TRO) give the relevant traffic authority the legal right to enforce restrictions they impose on a length of highway under the powers granted by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. These include parking restrictions.

TROs must be correctly formulated for any penalty imposed to stand up to legal challenge. Alpha Parking provides local authorities with consultation, advice and training on how to construct and manage traffic orders. We offer a full bureau service managing all aspects of an authorityís traffic orders, from development to implementation and day-to-day maintenance, ensuring that TROs are always valid, up-to-date and immediately accessible for scrutiny by the adjudicator. This allows councils to concentrate on the day to day management of their parking services.
