The Approved Operator Scheme (AOS) is a scheme launched for BPA members in October 2007. The AOS is designed specifically for those BPA members that are involved in parking enforcement services on private land or in unregulated public car parks To monitor and regulate members of the Approved Operator Scheme there is a points style scheme of sanctions to ensure members adhere to the Code of Practice and failure to meet certain criteria can lead to the loss of access to the DVLA’s vehicle registration data and even expulsion from the BPA.
