National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are work-based qualifications that assess the skills and knowledge your staff need to perform their job effectively.

There are two such qualifications available to the parking industry:

Level 2 NVQ in Controlling Parking Areas
Designed to give CEOs a work-related, competence-based qualification that reflect skills and knowledge needed to do their job effectively

Level 3 NVQ Business Administration
Contains units specifically designed for notice processing staff:

Administering challenges, representations and civil parking notice (CPN) appeals
Administering the statutory appeals process
Administering debt recovery
Administering permits, season tickets, dispensations / waivers and blue badges

Alpha Parking provide you with experienced trainers, qualified in City and Guilds 1889 who have on the job experience of both parking enforcement and notice processing

The Traffic Management Act (TMA) 2004 and its guidance places an emphasis on both staff training and continuous professional development for local authority professionals to maintain high standards of parking enforcement.
